Welcome to The West Mill: Transformed from an industrial cotton spinning mill into an exclusive use wedding venue in Derbyshire.
This magnificent Grade 1 Listed Building offers a relaxed and individual setting for your special day.
With a magnificent outside space with a south facing courtyard, garden and a walkway overlooking the River Derwent and weir – and an idyllic setting to enjoy your reception and photographs.
Four Floors of Exclusive Use Space
The West Mill is proud to be an ‘Exclusive Use’ Venue.
This means that The West Mill is yours for the day from 11.00am on your wedding day right the way through to midnight.
You and your guests will have exclusive use of our venue and grounds and we guarantee that the only people wandering around will be your nearest and dearest.
No Corkage Charge
The West Mill is a no corkage charge wedding venue meaning you have the choice to bring your own daytime drinks free of charge.
Whether it’s Pimms for your drinks reception, wine for your wedding breakfast or fizz for your toast. Our no corkage policy allows you to supply your daytime drinks, allowing a more personal touch to your wedding day.
In the evening, after your wedding breakfast, our dedicated evening bar is opened for you on the first floor and our no corkage period ends. Any left over supplied drinks will be stored safely stored and can be collected the following day.
In-house Catering
Our in-house catering team of experienced chefs, passionate catering managers & friendly bookings team will look after you from the moment you book with The West Mill Venue.
With menus starting from £43.00pp you’ll be able to design your perfect menu from our wide range of dishes. Traditional, relaxed, sharing style or vegan, The West Mill Kitchen work with you to create a menu to wow your guests and make an unforgettable Wedding breakfast.
On-site Accommodation
We offer two gorgeous options for the night before and the night of your wedding, both sharing the same Soho inspired aesthetic as The West Mill itself.
The Mill House offers 8 en-suite double bedrooms including a luxury newly-weds suite, a living room and kitchen as well as a catered buffet breakfast the morning after your wedding.
The Mill Cottage is our self catered alternative, offering 4 double bedrooms plus one twin and outside space for pre-wedding drinks.
Both options are just a stone’s throw from the venue.
